Fractured Eden
What is our place in nature? Are we truly connected, or have we lost our way? What will the future of our planet look like?
In Fractured Eden, I explore the profound impact of human evolution on nature. As we evolve at an unprecedented rate, nature struggles to keep pace. The spiral shape of the installation represents this destructive cycle, showing how the beauty of life fades as we continue to push nature beyond its limits.
Through a combination of images, sound, and symbolic elements like clay leaves, the installation expresses the emotional impact of this ongoing deterioration inviting visitors to witness the consequences of our actions on the planet.

Spiral
The spiral in the installation serves as a metaphor for the rapid degradation of the natural world. Visitors begin in a vibrant, colorful environment, filled with the sounds and sights of life. As you journey deeper into the spiral, this world slowly transforms, fading into an empty, industrial landscape.
The spiral represents both the uncertainty and the complexity of this path, one that seems almost impossible to escape. The shift from natural to industrial sound amplifies this transition, guiding you through the changing environment.

At the end of the spiral, you are invited to step back and reflect on what we risk losing. The opportunity to view the beauty we overlook, before it’s gone forever, is a chance to reconsider our actions.
Fractured Eden is a meditation on the unintentional harm to nature. It calls on us to recognize the fragile balance we’re disrupting and to take action before the natural world, as we know it, is irreparably harmed.
