Spice in Dialogue
These three sculptures were created using the same approach and thinking as the Stones from Former Mercury Mineproject.
Here too, collaboration with nature is at the heart of the process. Transforming spices into beads creates a tangible, physical form of collaboration.
Drie sculpturen gemaakt met dezelfde aanpak als het project Stones from Former Mercury Mine. Ook hier staat samenwerking met de natuur centraal: door specerijen om te vormen tot kralen ontstaat een tastbare vorm van samenwerking.
The wooden base grounds each sculpture, reminding us of the earth
The origin of all materials. While the previous project explored the stones, this series focuses on spices: once global commodities, now reimagined as co-creators rather than objects of trade.
De houten basis verankert elke sculptuur en herinnert ons aan de aarde, de oorsprong van alle materialen. Waar het vorige project zich richtte op stenen, focust deze serie op specerijen: ooit wereldwijde handelswaar, nu opnieuw verbeeld als medemakers in plaats van handelsobjecten.
